Second weekend success!!
We were able to get two good bucks on the ground. A 9 and a 10 pointer. Both of them had some pretty unique charectiristics. Stay tuned to our harvested section of our gallery page for pics of these bucks.

For the first 4 days of rifle season we had a group in from the Sunshine State of Florida. Unfortunately the sunshine didn’t come with them. It was 4 straight days of nothing but rain. Made for some awful huntng for the most part. The good news is that we did see an absolute GIANT 10 pointer on the Friday before gun season started and again on Saturday during the rain. We are guessing this deer makes Boone and Crockett. Really massive, tall, wide, and some kickers. The group was not able to get one down, but boy did they hunt hard. Real troopers to hunt in this Missouri Monsoon. We got almost 6 inches of rain in the 4 days they were here.
We want to thank Justin, Brit, and Fred for coming to hunt with us. Sorry the weather did not cooperate. We appreciate you guys sticking it out and were very glad to have you come and hunt with us. Really enjoyed having them around. Take care

Had a group of 5 in bow hunting from right here in Missouri from November 6th thru the 8th. The weather was gorgeous, but not real favorable for Missouri bow hunting in November. We had high temps in the mid to upper 70’s! We were not real happy with the heat, but had high hopes for the weekend.
Every one of our hunters reported seeing a shooter buck. Some layed eyes on several. We had reports of 120 class, 130 class, 140 class, 150 class, and a report on a true giant of at least 160. Lots of action, lots of bucks chasing does. No one was able to arrow a buck. They were able to get a couple does. They all said if they had rifles that weekend they would have for sure have gotten a nice buck.
We’d like to thank Adam, Jeff, Steve, Jason, and especially Jonathan, for coming up and spending a few days bow hunting with us. We donated some hunts to a cancer benifit that Jonathan was the winning bidder on. We were happy to help and we know that they appreciated what Jonathan did for them as well.
They stayed hard at it all 3 days even though the weather was so warm to hunt in. Thanks again fellas.

I was lucky enough to take my 14 year old cousin on the youth hunt on October 31st. It was Dustin’s first ever deer hunt and it was not without some GREAT action. We got on stand around 3:30 Saturday afternoon. We had not even sat down yet and there was a very nice 150 inch 10 pointer in the bean field to our left. He was way out of range for the rifle Dustin was using, but how awesome is it to have the first deer you see on your first ever hunt be a monster buck like that? We were pretty pumped up to say the least. We watched him feed for just a minute and he walked off into the timber. We then had a small doe come out 85 yards in front of us. We watched her come out and feed in the beans off and on for an hour. During that time we had a mature doe and two smaller bucks come out into the bean field. The bucks actually locked horns and sparred for a while. Eventually walking off to the West of us. Some hunters can go a lifetime without seeing a 150 class buck or two bucks lock horns. Dustin got to see both in one night!! We seen a total of 14 deer from 3:30 to dark. It was almost non-stop action. Dustin ended up getting a doe that night. Made a very nice shot and dropeed her where she stood. Really fun experience and a memorable one for Dustin as well.
